Fun Diving for Certified Divers
Dive prices include tanks, weights and valet diving service. Prices listed below do not include sales tax of 15% or gratuities.
1-4 dives $40 per dive per person
5-10 dives $35 per dive per person
11+ dives $30 per dive per person
Note: PADI requires refreshers for divers who have been out of the water for more than a year. This can be completed at home with your local dive shop prior to your vacation, or we can arrange it here at Barefoot Divers for you before your first day of diving. Please see refresher details below under ‘Continuing Education for Certified Divers’.
Nitrox Enriched Air
Add an additional $10 per tank
$25/dive. Mandatory on all dives for junior divers ages 10-11 and divers with ‘Scuba Diver’ certification due to the 40′ depth limitation. Optional for other divers who would like added attention.
$35 per day ($27 for resort guests) for set, including BCD, reg, wetsuit, fins, mask, snorkel
$20 per dive ($17 for resort guests) for set, including BCD, reg, wetsuit, fins, mask, snorkel
$10 per item per day for each piece of equipment: BCD, regulator, wetsuit
$15 per day (included with resort stay for Barefoot Cay guests) for snorkel kit: fins, mask, snorkel
Dive Computer Rental
$20 per day/$100 per week ($15 per day/$75 per week for resort guests)
Certified divers only. Boat night dive $20 surcharge on regular dive rate, minimum of 4 divers. $8 torch rental. Must have completed Night Adventure Dive to participate or be able to prove previous logged night dives (Night Adventure Dive available for $75 including the dive and equipment rental). Also see shore diving, below.
Certified divers only. Shore dive from our house reef (palapa) – $8 per dive. Must dive with buddy, and only available for resort guests. Extra $12 per person for guide. Makes a great night dive!
Boat Snorkeling Trips
$35 per person per trip or $60 for two trips, including snorkel gear and guide ($30 per person per trip for resort guests, or $15 per person per trip for resort guests not including guide).
Learn to Dive
Classes available in English, Spanish or French. There is no tax on courses. Prices include equipment rental and all course materials, but not gratuities or additional dives. A PADI Medical Statement must be completed (and physician’s clearance obtained, if necessary) before beginning any course. We recommend having the medical statement completed prior to arrival to ensure medical requirements for diving are met.
Discover Scuba Diving Experience (1/2 day) $135
Ages 10 and up. An introduction to scuba diving, but is not a certification course. First, a half-hour of theory, practicing basic dive skills in shallow water, then a dive to a maximum depth of 40 feet. Maximum of four divers per instructor. This course can be upgraded to Open Water Diver within one year.
Discover Scuba Diving – Additional Open Water Dive (1 dive) $85
Experience a second dive completely supervised by a professional instructor. Dive to a maximum depth of 40 feet with a maximum of four divers per instructor.
Bubblemaker (1 hour) $100
Ages 8-9. Children as young as 8 can have the thrill of trying scuba diving in our pool, staying at a depth of less than six feet of water. It’s the perfect way for younger members of your family to experience the sport you love! Your child should be comfortable in the water but doesn’t need to be a super swimmer. One of the experienced instructors from our dive shop conducts the session, which takes about an hour. Maximum class size is two children.
Scuba Diver Course (2-3 days) $325, or $270 with e-Learning completed
Ages 10 and up. Three theory lessons with a manual, 3 confined water sessions, and 2 dives to a maximum of 40 feet. Course results in PADI certification with the following restrictions: must be accompanied by a dive professional on all dives, 40 foot maximum depth at all times. Course includes equipment rental, manual, and PADI ‘Project Aware’ certification card. Junior Scuba Divers (ages 10-14) complete same course requirements and receive same restrictions with certification.
Open Water Diver Course (4-5 days) $475, or $395 with e-Learning completed
Ages 15 and up. Five theory lessons with a manual and video, five confined water sessions, and four dives to a maximum depth of 60 feet. This complete course awards a final PADI certification that allows diving anywhere in the world without a dive professional present. Price includes equipment rental, manual, PADI dive logbook, and PADI ‘Project Aware’ certification card. Maximum of four divers per instructor.
Junior Open Water Diver Course (4-5 days) $475, or $395 with e-Learning completed
Ages 10-14. Same as above Open Water Diver Course, but results in final certification with the following restrictions: ages 10-11 have a max depth of 40 feet and must dive with a parent or PADI professional, ages 12-14 have a max depth of 60′ and must dive with a certified adult. Junior Open Water certifications automatically convert to full Open Water certifications at age 15. Maximum of two junior divers per instructor.
Open Water Diver Referral (2 half days) $295 for PADI referrals, or $345 if referring from any agency other than PADI
Receive your open water certification by completing all academics and confined water sessions at home with your local dive shop. Finish your 4 open water dives with us in two short days and you’ll be certified as an Open Water Diver! All academic and confined water training must be completed prior to arrival, with signed documentation of training and completed medical clearance. If referral is from any other training agency than PADI, a confined water review session is added prior to open water training dives. If you don’t yet have your own dive gear, rental gear is available for $35 for all 4 dives.
Continuing Education for Certified Divers

Basic Refresher (1/2 day) $85
Required for divers who have been out of the water for more than a year. Includes a confined water session and one dive with a PADI instructor focusing on refreshing basic dive skills so divers are ready to join the fun diving boat.
Full Refresher (1 day) $150, or $110 with e-Learning completed
Highly recommended for divers who have been out of the water for more than 3 years, or for divers wishing to become more confident in their diving skills. Includes Scuba Tune-up workbook, review of equipment set-up, in-depth confined water session focusing on refreshing basic skills, a dedicated buoyancy workshop plus mini-dive, and one open water dive with personal attention from a PADI instructor.
Advanced Open Water Course (2-3 days) $360, or $300 with e-Learning completed
Ages 12 and up. Prerequisite: Open Water Diver. Five adventure dives, which must include a deep dive and a navigation dive. The other 3 dives are at the choice of the student and instructor. This certification allows a diver to dive to 100 feet. Price includes PADI manual, certification fee, and PADI ‘Project Aware’ certification card.
Emergency First Response (EFR) Course (1 day) $130
Ages 12 and up. Take a step toward emergency preparedness and meet PADI Rescue Diver prerequisites with Emergency First Response. As one of the foremost international CPR and first aid training companies, Emergency First Response gives you the confidence to respond to medical emergencies both above and below the sea.
Rescue Diver Course (3-4 days) $420, or $350 with e-Learning completed
Ages 12 and up. Prerequisites: Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water Diver, and current CPR/first aid training (within the last two years). Learn self-rescue techniques, managing stress in yourself and other divers, emergency equipment use, rescuing panicked divers and rescuing unresponsive divers. The most challenging and rewarding PADI course according to most divers!

Fish ID Diver (1 day) $185
Learn to identify various tropical fish and their behaviorisms.
Peak Performance Buoyancy Diver (1 day) $185
Dive longer and with less effort. Weighting techniques fine-tune your buoyancy to help you glide over reefs and use less air.
Enriched Air Diver (2 days) $240, or $185 with e-Learning completed
Learn to use enriched air (Nitrox) so you can stay underwater longer and get back into the water sooner. Take the certification for $325 and have unlimited Nitrox included for your entire week of diving!
Enriched Air Diver (tank analysis and 1 dive) $140 with e-Learning completed
Underwater Navigator Diver (2 days) $235
Techniques for estimating distances, compass navigation, handling potential problems, and more.
Night Diver (2 days) $235
Special skills to help you plan, navigate, communicate, and safely see creatures and plant life that are active at night.
Search and Recovery Diver (2 days) $285
Learn a variety of techniques to find objects underwater and safely bring them to the surface.
Equipment Specialist (1 day, theory and practical sessions only) $95

Underwater Naturalist Diver (1 day) $185
Learn about our reef ecosystem – the working relationship between the coral, the fish, & their dependence on each other.
